Hairs the deal (LOL!) I am still swamped like you would not believe with these accelerated math courses at the college. 

So unfortunately this issue of TMOASM will not live up to its usual. For this I DEEPLY apologize.

But, there have been a number of changes I would like to share with the rest of you fantastic Dio fans who tune in every month.

Locks Of Love Organization now has ALL my hair!! 

What the HELL, I can hear you say through my server and all the way to my desk top before me! NO WAY!

As many of you know I am going to college to be a teacher. Well would you want the guy above teaching YOUR children? Yeah, that's how most feel too. So, If I have to cut my hair (I graduate at the end of summer with my AA and go onto the BA and Masters immediately after) so I will be working in the schools during that time. I decided if I have to give up my hair that I would ONLY give up my hair for a great cause, THIS one, once I heard about it!

So who are they:

PALM SPRINGS, Fla.—Locks of Love is a not-for-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under the age of 18 with medical hair loss. These custom-fitted hair prosthetics are provided free of charge or on a sliding scale to children whose families meet the Locks of Love Board of Directors guidelines.

Donors provide the hair, volunteers staff the office, and the manufacturer hand-assembles each piece, which requires approximately four months.

The organization, which began in 1997, has helped over 400 children since its first year of operation. Thousands of bundles of donated hair arrive from around the country as a result of national publicity Locks of Love received in newspapers, magazines and television programs.

The donations continue to pour in. Most donors mail a note and a photo with their bundle of hair. Children comprise over 80 percent of the donors, making this a charity where children have the opportunity to help other children.

Locks of Love provides its recipients with a custom, vacuum-fitted hairpiece made entirely from donated human hair. The vacuum fit is designed for children who have experienced a total loss of scalp hair and does not require the use of tape or glue.

Donated hair is evaluated for its usefulness according to the following guidelines:

• The donated hair must be at least 10 inches (preferably 12") in length
• It must be bundled in a pony tail or braid
• It must be free of hair damaged by chemical processing
• The hair must be clean and dry, placed in a plastic bag, and mailed in a padded envelope to:

Monetary donations to Locks of Love are tax deductible. Hair is considered to be a body part by the IRS and is therefore not tax-deductible. Donated hair that is not suitable for use in children's hairpieces may be sold at fair market value to offset the cost of manufacturing.

 What are the guidelines:

HAIR DONATION GUIDELINES

• We accept 10" minimum hair length (tip to tip), not wigs, falls, or synthetic hair
• Please bundle hair in ponytail or braid
• Hair needs to be clean, dry, and placed in a plastic bag
• We need hair from men and women, young and old, all colors, and all races
• Hair may be colored or permed, but not chemically damaged (if you're not sure, ask your stylist)
• Hair swept off the floor is not usable
• Hair cut years ago is usable as long as it has been stored in a ponytail
• Hair that is short, gray, or unsuitable for children will be separated from the ponytails and sold at fair market value to offset the cost of manufacturing
• You may pull curly hair straight to measure the minimum 10"
• The majority of all hair donated comes from children who wish to help other children
